Trustees
The Trustees are collectively responsible for the competent management of the Charity in accordance with its objectives, which are set out in the Trust Deed; they meet twice a year to monitor the organisation’s strategy and activities. In addition, the Charity's daily fundraising activities are carried out under the supervision of Professor Clare Selden, with the help of the other trustees, part time charity admin assistant and volunteers.
Our Patron is Professor Sir Roger Penrose OM, FRS.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: The Charity, 'The Liver Group'(1024533) was closed in 2016, in order to reopen as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) called 'The Liver Group Charity'(1166985). This is the only material change and is a result of compliance with Charity Commission guidance.
Kay Glendinning MBE
1935-2025

We were incredibly sad to hear the news of our Patron, and great friend, Kay’s passing. She died peacefully on 8th December 2025 at home surrounded by close family.
Kay has been instrumental in the success of the Liver Group Charity, first as a Trustee and latterly as Patron. She was always so incredibly helpful and positive and her mere presence in the Charity opened so many doors for us. We would not have got anywhere near as far without her and she will be greatly missed.
She gave a lifetime of service to The Dunhill Medical Trust and served on the Boards of several charitable organisations, of which the Liver Group Charity was one, and was awarded an MBE in 1993 for charitable services.
Forever in our hearts!
Clare Selden, Trustee of the Liver Group Charity until July 2025
